When everything calms down at the end of the season and the cold weather moves in, it is just good and it is nice to stop and look at what a beautiful place the orchard is in a frozen, foggy silence.

The Art of Pruning

Hi Folks,

We are excited to share with you the first of a series of APPLE TALK, beginning with PRUNING.

Even in the cold of winter, weather permitting, we are working in the orchard.  Our devoted crew is diligently pruning, hoping to address each of our 8000+ trees.   Annual pruning is just one of many routine chores we need to do to keep our orchard productive and maintaining high quality fruit.  Why must one prune, you ask?  Let me name the reasons:
